Cancer Education Station Network Days
19/09/2023
Late presentations with symptoms are at a very high rate and percentages of Cancer rates in Halton and in St Helens are higher than in England as a whole and we need to do something to reduce this.
Sam Lewis the new Social Action Lead for Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance has been tasked with helping groups, charities and organisations in the boroughs to feel comfortable in having a conversation about the signs and symptoms of cancer and to provide information of how-to self-check and cancer screening opportunities.
Sam has created two networking events to teach people about cancer prevention, detection and reducing their risk.
St Maries, Lugsdale Rd, Widnes - Wednesday 27th September 10am -1pm

These events will be great opportunities to collect resources and information for your organisations. They will allow you to feel confident and informed enough, to encourage your service users to seek medical advice at an early stage of detection and as a result possibly save a life!
The events will be motivational, fun and inspiring and a great opportunity to team up with other organisations to help deliver the message that “early detection is key.”
