Transfer of North West Boroughs Healthcare services
07/05/2021
On 1 June, community and mental health services currently provided by North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NWBH) in Halton, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens and Warrington will transfer to Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.
We do not anticipate any disruption to services as a direct result of this transfer. Patients will continue to see the same health and care professionals at the same locations and contact telephone numbers will remain the same.
Patient care records will transfer to Mersey Care and will remain secure and confidential in line with the trust’s privacy policy.
Referral routes will not change. Referral form branding will be updated and new forms will be available through your patient administration system or the Mersey Care website from 1 June.
Staff and service email addresses will be updated as part of the transfer, but to ensure no information is lost, all current NWBH email addresses will redirect to the new Mersey Care email addresses for a period of time.
From 1 June, information about services will be available on the Mersey Care website: www.merseycare.nhs.uk
More information about the transfer, including a short animation, can be found at: www.nwbh.nhs.uk/our-future
If you have any queries, please email: ourfuture@nwbh.nhs.uk
