Sahir House Providing HIV Support And Information In St Helens

Are you living with HIV in St Helens? Do you know someone living with HIV in St Helens? Do you need some HIV related support, information and advice?

Sahir House is the HIV support, information and training service and provides free and confidential support to people living with HIV and family and carers affected by HIV across Merseyside including St Helens

Sahir House can visit you in your community, at your local clinic or provide travel assistance to enable you to attend activities and appointments at Sahir House’s main office services in the city centre of Liverpool

There is a variety of support available including help with:

  • support workers
  • welfare and benefits advice
  • housing issues
  • advocacy
  • counselling
  • wellbeing activities and peer support

There is a wide range of employability related activities including:

  • one to one IT coaching support
  • life skills group work
  • summer school activities such as creative writing, confidence building through art and drama
  • HIV employment forum and job search

Sahir House has an extensive range of literature and resource links that may help you with issues:

  • side effects of medication
  • health conditions
  • disclosure, rights and the law
  • HIV in the workplace
  • family
  • mental and emotional health

Sahir House also welcome volunteers from all sections of our communities and are marching in this year’s Liverpool Pride if you would like to join them.

Sahir House Health Promotion Service has publicity and campaign materials if required for notice boards and intranet
