At Healthwatch St Helens, we wanted to develop a better understanding of what our residential care providers are delivering and what would help them to enhance the care they deliver every day.

St Helens Council would like to invite you to the traditional Refugee Week Football Matches in St Helens, where refugees, asylum seekers and other members of the community play in the spirit of integration and community cohesion, showcasing the power of our communities to bring people together.

In St Helens, we currently have the St Helens Wellbeing Service who provide a range of healthy living and wellbeing support. As part of the planning process for St Helens Wellbeing Service, they are seeking your views. This will help inform a review of the current service and help to shape it in the future, ensuring the service is meeting the needs of people in St Helens Borough.

This World Hypertension Day and during May Measure Month, NHS Cheshire and Merseyside is encouraging people over 40 to get their blood pressure checked.

Healthwatch St Helens (Halton & St Helens Voluntary and Community Action) has been awarded the contract to continue to act as your local watchdog for health & social care services.

To kickstart our work for the next 5 years, we have undertaken a review of governance and would now like to invite expressions of interest from members and local people interested in becoming a Chair.

Cheshire and Merseyside residents urged to get life-saving COVID-19 jab this spring.

The NHS in Cheshire and Merseyside is urging those who are at highest risk from the virus to come forward for their spring COVID-19 vaccination, as the national appointment system opens for bookings.

The national NHS booking system opened on Tuesday 25 March for eligible people to book an appointment for their spring COVID-19 vaccination from Tuesday 1 April.

Those being offered this year’s spring COVID-19 vaccine include adults aged 75 years and over, residents in care homes for older adults, and people with a weakened immune system who are at a greater risk from severe illness.

NHS Cheshire and Merseyside is asking for people’s views as part of a review of long COVID support.

We are pleased to announce the launch of a free NHS Cheshire and Merseyside (C&M) Women’s Health and Maternity APP.

A new APP has been launched where you can get information on women's maternity and Baby's health, mental health, periods and contraception, menopause, immunisations, pregnancy and infant feeding and pelvic health.

Developed with input from national and local clinicians and service users, the APP has been created to improve access to timely, high-quality evidence-based, clinically safe, non-profiteering, information, services, and treatment, specific to women’s health, including where to access support across Cheshire and Merseyside.
